Good to stop and count the blessings Matt!

Maybe we all need to focus more on being agents of positive change. Those of us with blogs and other websites, as well as anyone who frequently comments on sites can fill that roll by putting ideas out on the web that might have the potential to grow and even reach the highest levels of government.

Perhaps the world is too complex and crowded for voting alone to be as effective as it once was. Maybe it’s time for the “silent majority” to stop being so silent. Silence, after all, conveys acceptance, and through it we may be sending the wrong messages.

Great article. I was watching “Capitalism: A Love Story” the other night and went to bed angry. I do not swallow everything that MM puts on screen however there were some fundamental truths there that you cannot ignore. Eat, drink and be merry!

Great post. Too many people act as if the events of the past week are literally the end of the world. To the best of my knowledge, though, there haven’t been any supernatural horsemen, meteorites named Bitterness, angels sounding trumps in heaven, or any other of the signs of the end of days. Here’s hoping people get a bit more perspective soon.

Thanks for sharing this Matt! Being thankful has literally changed my life.I used to be a glass half empty sort of person, now I am definitely a glass running over sort of person!! There was a time when I obsessed over the issues in our world and then I realized that obsessing didn’t change anything, but prayer does. So now, when the worry starts to creep back in, I let that act as my reminder to take those concerns to the one who can actually do something about them. Proverbs 21:1 “The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes.”

Most of the big news stories today are about negative events., I’m sure this doesn’t help with our outlook too much.

A couple of years back I stopped listening to talk radio because of this. It was just too much negative talk after negative talk…Depressing…
